Mining I-Steel
- Description
-
The full name of Kuanggonggang is Mining I-steel, which is a special section steel suitable for the support of mine roadways. The relevant introduction is as follows:
Chemical Composition
The material of Type 9 Mining I-steel is usually 16Mn. Its chemical composition is as follows: carbon content is 0.16-0.20, silicon content is 0.30-0.60, manganese content is 1.30-1.60, phosphorus content is not more than 0.045, and sulfur content is not more than 0.050.
The material of Type 11 Mining I-steel is mostly 20MnK, and Type 12 Mining I-steel often uses Q275b material.
Mechanical Properties
For Mining I-steel made of 16Mn, the yield point is not less than 345MPa, the tensile strength is not less than 510MPa, and the elongation is not less than 21%.
For that made of 20MnK, the yield point is not less than 355MPa, the tensile strength is not less than 510MPa, and the elongation is not less than 18%.
For that made of Q275b, the yield point is not less than 275MPa, the tensile strength is 490-610MPa, and the elongation is not less than 20%.
Product Characteristics
It has the characteristics of stable performance, reasonable structure, good strength and rigidity. At the same time, it has a light unit weight and small cross-sectional unit weight. However, it also has such characteristics as complex deformation, multiple rolling passes, rapid temperature drop of rolled pieces, and difficulty in the rolled pieces getting out of the groove, which makes its design and development relatively difficult.
Differences from Ordinary I-steel
In terms of specifications: The specifications of ordinary I-steel range from Type 10 to Type 63, while those of Mining I-steel range from Type 9 to Type 12.
In terms of materials: Most ordinary I-steels are made of Q235, while Mining I-steels are made of materials such as 20MnK and Q275.
In terms of applications: Ordinary I-steel is generally used in steel structures, bridges, etc., mostly for simple support; Mining I-steel is mainly used in coal mine support steel structures and is suitable for strong support scenarios.
