Product Introduction
Kalan, also known as Kalun, is a fitting used to fix the overlapping position of U-shaped steel supports. The specific introduction is as follows:
Material and Model: It is usually processed from steel plates of Q235 and 16Mn, with models such as U25, U29, U36, etc.
Structural Features: It generally has an upper clamping plate and a lower clamping plate with detachable connections. The clamping width of the upper clamping plate is adapted to the upper opening width of the U-shaped steel, and the clamping width of the lower clamping plate is adapted to the cross-sectional width of the U-shaped steel. Rib plates are often arranged on the side of the lower clamping plate to improve the overall strength and rigidity. The upper and lower clamping plates are connected by bolts and nuts.
Working Principle: By installing the kalan at the overlapping part of the U-shaped steel supports, the two sections of U-shaped steel are clamped and attached tightly by the fastening force generated by tightening the bolts, making the U-shaped steel supports an integrated structure, thus enhancing the stability and bearing capacity of the supports. Under the action of roof pressure, the kalan can enable the U-shaped steel supports to realize yielding and sliding, while maintaining the tight connection of the supports to prevent them from deformation or damage.
Technical Requirements: The kalan shall meet the requirements of relevant standards and design drawings. All parts shall have good interchangeability, and the bolts shall be able to be smoothly installed on the kalan plates. There shall be no cracks, burrs, flash or other defects on its surface. Different models of kalan have different working resistance requirements. For example, the average working resistance of the kalan for 25U steel yieldable supports shall not be less than 100kN.
Application Fields: It is mainly used for mine roadway support and is an important connecting part of U-shaped steel supports in the construction of roadways in coal mines, metal mines, etc. It can also be used in the initial support of underground projects such as tunnels, helping the stable connection of support structures like U-shaped steel arch frames, improving the support effect and ensuring project safety.
